WHO WE ARE
A team that has lived the presales problem firsthand
We are not a generic SaaS company that stumbled into the presales space. Every decision in ScopeAxis, from the nine-step workflow to the structure of each document type to the way Preflight works, was made by people who have sat in the same chair as our users and know exactly what a missed scope boundary or an unsigned warranty clause costs at delivery time.
Our team brings hands-on expertise across software development project management, DevOps platform engineering, managed services operations, IT commercial management, and enterprise solution architecture. That breadth of experience is why ScopeAxis covers three practice areas deeply, not one practice area at a surface level.
OUR MISSION
Every IT services team deserves to win work on the strength of their expertise, not their ability to write documents fast.
Presales should be about understanding the client, designing the right solution, and presenting it clearly. ScopeAxis takes care of the document work so your team can focus on what they are actually good at.
WHY WE BUILT IT
The problem we kept running into
Across decades of working in IT services delivery, every one of us on the ScopeAxis team ran into the same set of problems on the presales side of the business.
Senior engineers were spending two days writing a SOW from a blank page when they should have been solving technical problems. The same brief would go to two different presales engineers and come back as two completely different proposals with different scope, different risk assumptions, and different prices. A business analyst would become a bottleneck on every deal because they were the only person who knew how to structure a requirements document properly. And projects would start with scope disputes because something obvious to the delivery team turned out to be nowhere in the signed SOW.
We looked at the tools available and found nothing that actually addressed these problems for IT services firms. Generic document builders did not understand the structure of a proper SOW. Template libraries did not know the difference between a Fixed-Price Software Development engagement and a Co-Managed IT MSP contract. AI tools could write prose but had no concept of what was legally mandatory in a presales document or what would cause a scope dispute six months later.
So we built ScopeAxis. Not as a quick product, but as a considered one, built on real practice knowledge accumulated over 50 years of combined experience at the coalface of IT services delivery.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Practice knowledge built in, not bolted on
ScopeAxis is not a general-purpose document tool with IT services templates added. The three practice areas, the document structures, the input requirements, the Preflight checks, and the legal provisions were all designed by people who have managed these types of engagements professionally. That background shows up in the product in ways that matter.
So we built ScopeAxis. Not as a quick product, but as a considered one, built on real practice knowledge accumulated over 50 years of combined experience at the coalface of IT services delivery.
HOW WE WORK
The principles behind the product
Every product decision at ScopeAxis comes back to a small set of principles that reflect how we think good presales work should operate.
Precision over speed
Speed matters in presales, but a fast document that is wrong costs more than a slower one that is right. ScopeAxis is designed to be fast and precise. Preflight exists specifically to prevent speed from coming at the cost of completeness.
Expertise belongs in the tool
The knowledge of what belongs in an IT services contract, what must be said explicitly, and what will cause disputes later should not live only in the heads of your most experienced team members. ScopeAxis embeds that knowledge in the workflow so every team member benefits from it.
AI assists, people decide
We use AI to handle the parts of document generation that are structured and repeatable. We require human input for every decision that affects legal exposure, commercial terms, or client-specific commitments. That boundary is not an arbitrary limitation. It is a design choice.
Consistency protects everyone
Inconsistent documents create inconsistent expectations. When scope, responsibilities, and legal terms vary from engagement to engagement, disputes follow. ScopeAxis gives every engagement a consistent structural foundation while leaving room for the judgement calls that require human expertise.
Built for real work
ScopeAxis is not designed for a perfect client with a perfectly formatted brief and unlimited preparation time. It is designed for the brief that arrived at 4pm on a Thursday for a proposal needed Monday morning. That is the reality of IT services presales, and we built for it.
Your documents, your brand
Everything ScopeAxis generates belongs to your firm. Your logo, your colors, your commercial terms, your voice. ScopeAxis is the engine. Your brand is what the client sees. We are not in the business of putting our name on your client relationships.
ABOUT SCOPEAXIS
Real experience across the full IT services lifecycle
ScopeAxis covers the full range of IT services engagement types because the team behind it has worked across all of them. The four pillars below represent the core areas of practice knowledge that went into building the product.
50+
Years combined experience
At project management level across software delivery, DevOps, managed services, and IT commercial practice
3
Practice areas
Software Development, DevOps and Platform Engineering, and Managed Services. Each built from scratch by specialists in that field
100s
Real engagements
The team has collectively written hundreds of proposals, SOWs, and client contracts before building a single line of ScopeAxis
9
Step workflow
Designed from real presales process knowledge, not from a product manager's assumption of how IT presales works
WHERE WE ARE GOING
The road ahead
Everything we build next will follow the same principle as everything we have built so far. It will be grounded in real practice knowledge, designed to solve a genuine problem in IT services presales, and built to make every team member as capable as the best person on the team.
So we built ScopeAxis. Not as a quick product, but as a considered one, built on real practice knowledge accumulated over 50 years of combined experience at the coalface of IT services delivery.
We are a small team with deep expertise and a clear focus. We are not trying to be a general-purpose AI writing tool or a project management platform. ScopeAxis does one thing: it takes an IT services team from a client brief to a signed, complete, legally structured engagement document as efficiently and consistently as possible. That is the whole job. We intend to be the best in the world at it.
